Phedre To Screen At Cinema Nova
Following the success of its Met Opera screenings, Cinema Nova is branching out into theatre, and will be screening a high definition production of Phedre, starring Helen Mirren, from the National Theatre, London.
The play, which dates back to the late 1600's was re-worked by poet laureate Ted Hughes. The National Theatre production is directed by Tony-award winner Nicholas Hytner (History Boys, Madness Of King George).
Phedre is the dramatic tale of a woman's desire for her stepson that is unleashed after she mistakenly believes her husband to be dead.
Performances will take place on July 11th and 12th at 1pm.
Book early to avoid disappointment.
